Life's a Beach

The 2010 BRAS charity luncheon event will be held on the 10th September, at Campbelltown Catholic Club and has been dubbed ‘Life’s a beach’: a luncheon with Layne Beachley.

BRAS has secured Layne Beachley as their keynote speaker. Layne is renowned as a seven-time ASP Women’s World Champion Surfer, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Recently retired, Layne is as busy as ever. Running a foundation (and representing 5 other charities as an ambassador or spokesperson) staging the richest women’s surfing event in the world as well as motivational speaking. We are very fortunate to have secured such a role model and businesswoman.

Other entertainment on the day will be provided by renowned violinist Sarah Moir; Sarah’s show is a high impact, attention grabbing crowd pleaser. The act will have our guests spellbound and talking about it for months. Also performing will be the musical elite from the Robert Townsend high school.

There will also be raffles, auctions and scrumptious food. To book your seat download the booking form here.

The BRAS inaugural charity event was held in 2007; ‘Celebrating Women in Macarthur’ with over $4000 being raised and donated to the Kids of Macarthur health foundation and Macarthur Lifeline. In 2008 we held our second event ‘Celebrating 100 years of Women in Macarthur’ again partnering with Kids of Macarthur health foundation and Macarthur lifeline. Once again we raised another $4,000 for the charities. In 2009 we held a ‘Women in Business Symposium’ raising $5000 for the St Vincent De Paul Society and Mater Dei.

This year all the money that is raised from the day will go to supporting the charity ‘Youth Solutions’. Youth solutions is a unique service, aiming to prevent drug related tragedies; their motto is that each young person deserves an opportunity to reach their potential and that drug use takes away that potential. While young people are their primary focus, they also aim to educate, inform and support others who play an important role in their lives. www.youthsolutions.com.au

This year we are expecting in excess of 200 people to our event and expect it to be bigger and better than all previous events. To book your seat download the booking form here.
